The Birds and the Bees Talk to a 10 Yr Old.?

I have a 10 year old daughter who is very mature for her age and is really starting to notice boys. Does anyone have any good websites or books that I can read so that I can prepare for the most appropriate conversation with her. Thanks! The Birds and the Bees Talk to a 10 Yr Old.?
Speak from the heart, be honest and answer her questions . Sex and the human body is not dirty when it is done how God created it. My 4 yr old has asked me birds and bees questions and I answer them. I speak in terms she can understand. if you dont tell her in a few years you will have some boy showing her. if you make it an open topic its less of an issue. trust me.The Birds and the Bees Talk to a 10 Yr Old.?
Usually attentive parents begin talking to their children about morals, values and health issues from the time they are toddlers.

You need to build on the conversations that have been on-going from day one. Talk to your librarian for suggestions.
Don't give tons of information, be honest, but answer her questions as simply as possible. Sometimes, if we go into too much detail, the child wants something basic and simple.

It has excellent info for parents and kids and teens.
I don't think you should read any books, i think you should have her ask questions and answer them in the least graphic manner that you can. if she's old enough to ask the question, you really need to answer it, truthfully.
speak from the heart and give her all the info you can find. lots of parenting places (like american girl books) i'm a teenaged girl with a single dad and's it's really awkward so just talk to her and you'll get the hang of this also you should get her some books for her to read such as:

the body book for girls

a smart girls guide to guys

a smart girls guide to friends

the real beauty

hope i helped!
Any conversation you have with your children regarding sex, oh, I mean code word ';birds and the bees';, should be honest and open...

Start with asking her what she knows already...Answer ALL her questions even if they shock you a bit...I think you would be suprised to see what kids already know when you think you are getting to them first.

Most of all do not shame or belittle her. Young girl should be taught that those special part of their bodies are reserved for there husbands and for having children with him when the time is right. And that they are not for eveyone.

Talk about the future...Some great books for understanding female reproduction and cycles for when that time comes is Taking CHarge of your Fertility...NO it is not just a book about getting and not getting pregnant, but it teaches women how to understand what their body is telling them. I would read over it first and teach from what you learn.

Open and honest should be the goal here. Good luck.
i think you should wait another year because she probably has started puberty but she really isn't all into puberty so just wait 1 more year.

The school your child is at might also teach them about these things in a few years time, so you could ask your teachers and Parents and Teacher Night about these issues.
just speak from the heart but not with a lot information
I have 11 year old twin girls and we started talking about the birds and the bees around their 10th birthday and thank God we did because about two weeks after their 11 birthday one of them started her period at summer camp. I found a good book that explains a lot that you can read with your daughter and then you can answer any questions she might have. It is called The Care %26amp; Keeping of You The Body Book for Girls and it is from the AmericanGirl Library, this book covers things like basic hair care, acne, skin care, mouth eyes and ear care, what happens when you get breasts and how to get the right bra, and shaving, then it also cover things on eating disorders, nutrition, and the body shapes and sizes, and then it goes over things like having periods, and getting hair down there and then things like fitness and sleep habits. It also talks a little about feeling that girls may have when going through the changes. this book will give you a good base to start on and then you can fill in the other areas that you think she needs to know about.
