Why are so many bumble bees lethargic ie crawling on the ground not flying off when prodded?

Is it chilly and/or windy? Certain temperatures slow bees down. Wind will cause them to not want to open thier wings for obvious reasons.Why are so many bumble bees lethargic ie crawling on the ground not flying off when prodded?

Bees crawling on the ground sound a bit like ground hornets to me. Make sure they are not. Very agressive when they are warm enough to move about. Call an exterminator if that is what they are.Why are so many bumble bees lethargic ie crawling on the ground not flying off when prodded?
The weather is too cold. They are still in form of hibernation.
because they have got sik of flowers, they like a little proddin instead!
Carpenter bees look alot like bumble bees.
