i have to read it for a class and i was just wondering what peoples opinions were on the book ?Is the secret life of bees a good book?
It's a great story, beautifully written and very much worth your time.

Yes. Definitely worth the time to read.I read it when it first came out a few years ago. I enjoyed both the book and the movie. The book has a good story line, well developed characters and good writing. Plain, beautiful prose. [The movie is good, too. Queen Latifah, Jennifer Hudson and Dakota Fanning were excellent in this movie. The entire cast was very good. You felt for and with them.] It should make for interesting discussion and essays in a class. So many themes from which to choose to write about. I'm sure you will get many different opinions about the story and the book. Depending on your personal opinions, your emotions will run the gamut. Read it. I don't think you will be disappoiinted.
I absolutely LOVED this book! It was hard to put it down, because the story line and history behind it was so interesting. As a plus, there are all these little trivia bits at the beginning of each chapter. It's a great chick book.
I would imagine it would be boring.


I hate bee's and the book would probly try to make me like them,


i hate it when books try to be persuasive.
